Ingredients
- 2 cups of almond milk
- 2 tablespoons of loose black tea

- 2 tablespoons of honey or sweetener of choice
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine 2 cups of almond milk, 2 tablespoons of loose black tea, 4 whole cloves, 2 lightly crushed cardamom pods, 1 cinnamon stick, 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger, and 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the chai steep for an additional 5 minutes.
- Strain the chai mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean saucepan, discarding the spices and tea leaves.
- Stir in 2 tablespoons of honey or sweetener of choice and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Heat the chai latte over medium heat until it is hot but not boiling, then pour it into mugs and serve hot.
