Ingredients
- 1 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornmeal
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 8 gluten-free hot dogs
- 8 wooden skewers
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (180°C) for 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, whisk together 1 cup of gluten-free all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup of cornmeal, 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup of milk and 2 eggs. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Insert a wooden skewer into each gluten-free hot dog, leaving enough of the skewer exposed to hold onto.
- Dip each hot dog into the batter, turning to coat evenly. Allow any excess batter to drip off.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the battered hot dogs in the basket, leaving space between each one.
- Air fry at 360°F (180°C) for 8-10 minutes, or until the batter is golden brown and crispy, and the hot dogs are heated through.
