Mediterranean

Zucchini and Tomato Gratin is a classic French dish that originated in the Provence region. This delectable gratin features layers of thinly sliced zucchini and ripe tomatoes, topped with a golden, cheesy crust. Renowned chefs like Julia Child and Jacques Pépin have popularized this dish, and it has become a staple in French cuisine. The key to a perfect Zucchini and Tomato Gratin lies in using the freshest, high-quality vegetables and a blend of flavorful cheeses. While traditionally baked in the oven, some chefs also grill the vegetables before assembling the gratin for a smoky twist.
