  • Gradually whisk in the milk and heavy cream, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and comes to a simmer.
  • Reduce heat to low, then stir in the white cheddar, Gruyere, fontina, and Parmesan cheeses until melted and smooth.
  • Season the cheese sauce with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
