Ingredients
- 1 cup of rolled oats
- 2 cups of water
- 1 scoop of whey protein powder
- 1/2 cup of fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons of chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
- Stir in 1 cup of rolled oats and reduce heat to medium-low. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once the oats are cooked, remove the saucepan from the heat.
- Add 1 scoop of whey protein powder, 1/2 cup of fresh strawberries, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon to the saucepan. Stir well to combine.
- Return the saucepan to low heat and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the strawberries are softened and the oatmeal is heated through.
- Divide the oatmeal into two bowls and sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
