Ingredients
- 4 turkey sausage patties
- 4 egg whites
- 4 slices of whole wheat bread
- 2 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a non-stick skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the turkey sausage patties to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
- While the sausage is cooking, toast the whole wheat bread slices.
- Once the sausage is cooked, remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, pour in the egg whites and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until set.
- Season the egg whites with salt and pepper to taste.
- Assemble the sandwiches by placing a slice of cheddar cheese on each piece of toasted bread, followed by 2 turkey sausage patties and the cooked egg whites.
- Top with the remaining slices of toasted bread to form the sandwiches.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
