  • 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp truffle oil
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the macaroni according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Gradually whisk in the milk and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
  • Stir in the salt, pepper, nutmeg, cheddar cheese, Gruyere cheese, and Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the truffle oil.
  • Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir to combine. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a small bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs with a drizzle of truffle oil. Sprinkle the breadcrumbs over the mac and cheese.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy the creamy and flavorful truffle mac and cheese!
