Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 4 slices of tomato
- 4 slices of red onion
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 4 tablespoons ketchup
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- In a large bowl, mix the ground beef with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties.
- Place the burger patties on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes, until lightly browned.
- In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add 1/2 cup of sliced mushrooms and sauté for 3-4 minutes, until they are tender and golden brown.
- Place a slice of Swiss cheese on each burger patty during the last minute of grilling, allowing it to melt.
- To assemble the burgers, spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice, a burger patty with melted Swiss cheese, a spoonful of sautéed mushrooms, a slice of red onion, and 1 tablespoon of ketchup. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve the Mushroom Swiss Burgers immediately and enjoy!
