Ingredients
- 1 lb pork tenderloin, sliced into 1/2 inch thick pieces
- 1 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup pineapple juice
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1 fresh pineapple, peeled, cored, and cut into rings
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix 1 cup of teriyaki sauce, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 1/4 cup of soy sauce, 1/4 cup of pineapple juice, 1 tsp of minced garlic, and 1/2 tsp of ground ginger to make the marinade.
- Place the pork slices in a resealable plastic bag and pour half of the marinade over the pork. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grate.
- Brush the pineapple rings with vegetable oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Grill the pineapple rings for 2-3 minutes on each side until grill marks appear. Remove from the grill and set aside.
- Remove the pork from the marinade and discard the used marinade.
- Grill the pork slices for 4-5 minutes on each side, basting with the reserved marinade, until fully cooked and caramelized.
- Serve the grilled teriyaki pork with the grilled pineapple rings, garnish with sesame seeds and green onions, and enjoy!
