Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, 1 cup of sugar, melted butter, milk, baking powder, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  • Spread the batter into the prepared baking pan. Top with the sliced strawberries.
  • In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup of flour and 1/2 cup of sugar. Cut in the cold cubed butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle this crumb mixture over the strawberries.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve. Enjoy!
