Ingredients
- 1 pound of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Place a steamer basket in a large pot and fill with water just below the basket. Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Arrange the shrimp in a single layer in the steamer basket. Cover the pot and steam the shrimp for 5-6 minutes, or until they are pink and opaque.
- While the shrimp is steaming, melt 1/2 cup of unsalted butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add 4 cloves of minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until fragrant.
- Stir in 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Transfer the steamed shrimp to a serving platter and pour the garlic butter sauce over the top. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately.
