- 1 cup of plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of cumin
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper

- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1 red onion, cut into chunks
- 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks

Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together 1 cup of plain yogurt, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 3 cloves of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of cumin, 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.

- Grill the kebabs for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the lamb is cooked to your desired doneness and the vegetables are tender and slightly charred.
- Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve the spicy yogurt marinated lamb kebabs with rice, pita bread, or a fresh salad. Enjoy!
The Spicy Yogurt Marinated Lamb Kebab has a rich history dating back to the Middle East, where it originated. This dish is a tantalizing blend of tender lamb marinated in a spicy yogurt mixture, then skewered and grilled to perfection. Renowned chefs like Yotam Ottolenghi have popularized this dish, infusing it with their own unique twists. The key to this dish lies in the marination process, where the yogurt tenderizes the meat and infuses it with a burst of flavors. Today, the best versions of this dish can be found in authentic Middle Eastern restaurants, where the kebabs are often served with fragrant rice and a zesty side of tzatziki. For a unique twist, some chefs also incorporate traditional spices like cumin, paprika, and coriander into the marinade, adding an extra layer of depth to the dish. Whether enjoyed in a bustling bazaar in Istanbul or at a cozy Middle Eastern eatery, the Spicy Yogurt Marinated Lamb Kebab is a true culinary delight that continues to captivate food enthusiasts worldwide.
