Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup prepared horseradish
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup vodka
- Ice
- 4 lemon wedges, for garnish
- 4 fresh cilantro sprigs, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until they turn pink and opaque. Drain and transfer to a bowl of ice water to cool. Once cooled, drain and set aside.
- In a medium bowl, mix together 1 cup of ketchup, 1/4 cup of prepared horseradish, 2 tablespoons of hot sauce, 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon of celery salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper. Adjust the amount of hot sauce to your desired level of spiciness.
- Divide the spicy cocktail sauce among 4 martini glasses.
- In a shaker, combine the cooked shrimp and 1/4 cup of vodka. Shake well to coat the shrimp with the vodka.
- Divide the vodka-coated shrimp among the 4 martini glasses with the spicy cocktail sauce.
- Garnish each glass with a lemon wedge and a sprig of fresh cilantro.
