Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup of honey, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 tablespoon of hot sauce, 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper, 1/4 cup of orange juice, minced garlic, and grated orange zest.
  • Season the chicken drumsticks with salt and pepper, then place them in a large resealable plastic bag. Pour half of the honey glaze over the drumsticks, seal the bag, and shake to coat the chicken evenly. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.
  • Place the marinated drumsticks on the prepared baking sheet, and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  • Remove the drumsticks from the oven, brush with the remaining honey glaze, and return to the oven. Bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the glaze is caramelized and sticky.
