Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, minced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1/2 red onion, sliced
- 4 lettuce leaves
Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 2 minced chipotle peppers, 1 minced garlic clove, 1 tbsp lime juice, 1 tsp paprika, 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp black pepper. Set aside.
- Divide 1 lb ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape into patties. Season with salt and pepper.
- Grill the burgers for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
- Spread the chipotle aioli on the bottom half of each bun.
- Place a grilled burger patty on top of the aioli, then add a slice of tomato, red onion, and lettuce.
- Top with the other half of the bun and serve hot.
