Instructions

  • Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread.
  • On 4 slices of bread, spread 1/2 tablespoon of Dijon mustard on the other side.
  • Layer each of the 4 slices of bread with 1 slice of Swiss cheese, 1/4 pound of smoked turkey, 1/4 cup of cranberry sauce, 1/4 cup of baby spinach leaves, 1 slice of tomato, and 1 slice of red onion.
  • Top with the remaining 4 slices of bread, mayonnaise side down.
  • Spread 1/2 tablespoon of butter on the top of each sandwich.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and place the sandwiches, buttered side down, in the skillet.
  • Spread the remaining 1/2 tablespoon of butter on the top of each sandwich.
  • Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve immediately.
