Instructions

  • Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder roast.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Sear the pork shoulder on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Transfer the pork shoulder to a slow cooker and pour in 1 cup of chicken broth.
