Shrimp kebabs have a rich history dating back to ancient times, originating in the Middle East and Mediterranean regions. This delectable dish features succulent shrimp marinated in a blend of aromatic spices and skewered with colorful vegetables. Renowned chefs like Yotam Ottolenghi have popularized this dish, infusing it with their unique culinary flair. Today, the best versions of shrimp kebabs can be savored in coastal regions like Greece and Turkey, where the freshest seafood is readily available. The key to perfecting this dish lies in the marination process, where the shrimp absorbs the flavors of garlic, lemon, and herbs. For a twist, consider grilling the kebabs over charcoal for an authentic smoky flavor.
