Middle Eastern

Shish Kebab, a popular Middle Eastern dish, has a rich history dating back to ancient times. Originating in the Eastern Mediterranean region, it was traditionally prepared by threading marinated meat and vegetables onto skewers and grilling them over an open flame. Renowned chefs like Yotam Ottolenghi have elevated the dish by infusing it with modern flavors and techniques. Today, the best versions of Shish Kebab can be found in countries like Turkey, Lebanon, and Iran, where it is a staple of their culinary heritage. The key to a perfect Shish Kebab lies in the marination process, where the meat is infused with a blend of spices, yogurt, and olive oil, resulting in tender and flavorful skewers. Whether enjoyed with pita bread or rice, this dish continues to be a beloved favorite worldwide.
