Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 1 block (14 oz) of firm tofu, drained and pressed
- 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
- 1/4 cup of soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons of sesame oil
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon of fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup of water
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds
- 4 cups of broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- Cut the pressed tofu into 1-inch cubes and toss them in 2 tablespoons of cornstarch until evenly coated.
- In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar, 2 tablespoons of sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, 1/4 cup of water, and 2 tablespoons of brown sugar to make the sauce.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook until golden and crispy on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the tofu from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until they are bright green and slightly tender.
- Return the crispy tofu to the skillet with the broccoli and pour the sesame ginger sauce over the tofu and broccoli. Stir to coat everything evenly and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the tofu and broccoli before serving.
- Serve the sesame ginger tofu and broccoli over cooked rice and enjoy!
