  • In a large skillet, cook 1 lb of Italian sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  • Slice the sub rolls in half lengthwise and place them on a baking sheet.
  • Spread 1/4 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom half of each sub roll.
  • Divide the cooked sausage among the sub rolls, placing it on top of the marinara sauce.
  • Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of grated parmesan cheese over the sausage on each sub roll.
  • Top each sub with 2 tablespoons of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the sub rolls are toasted.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle each sub with 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh basil and 1 tablespoon of sliced black olives.
