- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 4 sub rolls
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- In a large skillet, cook 1 lb of Italian sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Slice the sub rolls in half lengthwise and place them on a baking sheet.
- Spread 1/4 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom half of each sub roll.
- Divide the cooked sausage among the sub rolls, placing it on top of the marinara sauce.
- Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of grated parmesan cheese over the sausage on each sub roll.
- Top each sub with 2 tablespoons of shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the sub rolls are toasted.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle each sub with 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh basil and 1 tablespoon of sliced black olives.
- Place the top half of the sub rolls on each sandwich and serve hot.
