The history of the salmon burger dates back to the Pacific Northwest, where the abundance of fresh salmon inspired chefs to create a delicious alternative to the traditional beef burger. Renowned chefs like Tom Douglas in Seattle and restaurants like Pike Place Market's Lowell's Restaurant have popularized this dish, infusing it with local flavors and culinary expertise. The best version of this dish can be found in the Pacific Northwest, where the salmon is freshly caught and expertly prepared. The key to a perfect salmon burger lies in using high-quality, fresh salmon and incorporating complementary ingredients like dill, lemon, and capers for a burst of flavor. Alternatively, grilling the salmon patty adds a smoky depth to the dish, making it a popular alternative method for preparing this delectable burger.
