Ingredients
- 3 cups of all-purpose flour

Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, dissolve 1 tablespoon of sugar in 1 1/2 cups of warm water. Sprinkle the 2 1/4 teaspoons of active dry yeast over the water and let it sit for 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- Add 3 cups of all-purpose flour and 1 teaspoon of salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
- Divide the dough into 5 equal parts. Leave one part plain and dye the other parts with assorted food coloring to create a rainbow effect.
- Roll each colored dough into a long rope and then twist the ropes together to form a rainbow pattern. Pinch the ends to seal the ropes together and form a bagel shape.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Let the bagels rise for 15 minutes.
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Boil the bagels for 1 minute on each side, then remove and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
