Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 3 cups of all-purpose flour
- 2 1/4 teaspoons of active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 cups of warm water
- 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- Assorted food coloring (red, yellow, green, blue)
- 1 1/2 cups of strawberry cream cheese
Instructions
- In a large bowl, dissolve 1 tablespoon of sugar in the warm water. Sprinkle the yeast over the water and let it sit for 5 minutes until it becomes foamy.
- Add the flour, remaining sugar, and salt to the yeast mixture. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions.
- Using food coloring, dye each portion of dough a different color (red, yellow, green, blue). Knead the dough until the color is evenly distributed. Place each colored dough in separate greased bowls, cover with a towel, and let rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll each portion of dough into a long rope and twist the ropes together to form a rainbow pattern. Pinch the ends to seal and form into a bagel shape. Place the bagels on the prepared baking sheet and let rise for an additional 20 minutes.
- Bake the bagels for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool on a wire rack.
- Once the bagels are completely cooled, slice them in half and spread 1/4 cup of strawberry cream cheese on each half. Enjoy your colorful and delicious rainbow bagels with strawberry cream cheese filling!
