Ingredients
- 1 cup cooked quinoa
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- 4 burger buns
- Toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomato, avocado, etc.)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine 1 cup of cooked quinoa, 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese, 1/4 cup finely chopped onion, 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper, 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon cumin, 1/2 teaspoon paprika, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
- Mix in 1 beaten egg until all ingredients are well combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with oil.
- Cook the quinoa patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Toast the burger buns in the skillet for 1-2 minutes, until lightly browned.
- Assemble the quinoa burgers with your choice of toppings and enjoy!
