Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, mix together 1 cup of shredded cheese, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon of paprika, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.
  • Unroll the thawed puff pastry sheet onto a lightly floured surface. Roll it out slightly to smooth the creases.
  • Brush the entire surface of the puff pastry with the beaten egg.
  • Sprinkle the cheese and spice mixture evenly over the puff pastry.
  • Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the pastry into 12 strips.
  • Hold both ends of each strip and twist them in opposite directions to form a spiral shape, then place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the twists are golden brown and puffed up.
