Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, 1/4 cup of sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
  • Add 1/2 cup of softened butter and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Gradually add 1/4 cup of milk, mixing until the dough comes together.
  • Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and roll it out into a 1/4-inch thick rectangle.
  • Using a sharp knife, cut the dough into 24 sticks, each about 4 inches long.
  • Place the sticks on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Allow the sticks to cool completely on a wire rack.
  • Melt 8 ounces of chopped semisweet chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water, stirring until smooth.
  • Dip each cooled stick into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off. Place the dipped sticks back onto the parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
