Panko-Crusted Salmon is a delectable dish that originated in Japan, where panko, a type of flaky breadcrumb, is widely used in cooking. The dish gained popularity in the United States as a fusion of Japanese and Western culinary influences. Renowned chefs like Nobu Matsuhisa have elevated the dish by incorporating their own unique twists, such as adding a touch of wasabi or yuzu for an extra kick of flavor. Today, this dish can be found in upscale restaurants across the globe, with variations that include different seasonings and accompaniments. For the best version, seek out restaurants known for their expertise in seafood preparation, or try making it at home with fresh, high-quality salmon and authentic panko breadcrumbs.
