Paneer Masala

Ingredients
- 250g paneer, cubed
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 green chili, finely chopped
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds and sauté until they start to splutter.
- Add 2 finely chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Add 1 inch grated ginger and 3 minced garlic cloves, and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add 2 pureed tomatoes and cook until the oil separates from the masala.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon of coriander powder, 1/2 teaspoon of red chili powder, and salt to taste. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add 250g cubed paneer and mix gently to coat the paneer with the masala.
- Pour in 1/2 cup of heavy cream and 1 teaspoon of garam masala. Stir well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with naan or rice.
