  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Add 1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds and sauté until they start to splutter.
  • Add 2 finely chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  • Add 1 inch grated ginger and 3 minced garlic cloves, and sauté for 2 minutes.
  • Add 2 pureed tomatoes and cook until the oil separates from the masala.
  • Add 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon of coriander powder, 1/2 teaspoon of red chili powder, and salt to taste. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add 250g cubed paneer and mix gently to coat the paneer with the masala.
  • Pour in 1/2 cup of heavy cream and 1 teaspoon of garam masala. Stir well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with naan or rice.
