Ingredients
- 1 bottle of red wine
- 1/4 cup of honey
- 1 orange, sliced
- 8 whole cloves
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 teaspoon of whole allspice
- 1 teaspoon of whole cloves
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, combine 1 bottle of red wine, 1/4 cup of honey, and the sliced orange.
- Wrap 8 whole cloves, 2 cinnamon sticks, 1 teaspoon of whole allspice, and 1 teaspoon of whole cloves in a cheesecloth and tie it with kitchen twine to create a spice bag.
- Add the spice bag to the saucepan with the wine mixture.
- Heat the wine mixture over low heat, stirring occasionally, until it is hot but not boiling, about 15-20 minutes.
- Once heated, remove the spice bag and discard.
- Ladle the mulled wine into mugs and serve hot. Enjoy!
