Ingredients
- 8 cups of chicken broth
- 1/2 cup of white miso paste
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon of mirin
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
- 1 pound of pork belly, thinly sliced
- 4 packs of fresh ramen noodles
- 4 soft-boiled eggs
- 4 green onions, thinly sliced
- 4 sheets of nori seaweed
- 1 cup of corn kernels (optional)
- 1 cup of bean sprouts (optional)
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a simmer over medium heat.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the white miso paste, soy sauce, sesame oil, and mirin until smooth. Add the miso mixture to the simmering broth and stir to combine. Reduce the heat to low and keep the broth warm.
- In a separate skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork belly slices and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and crispy. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Cook the fresh ramen noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and divide the noodles among 4 serving bowls.
- Ladle the warm miso broth over the noodles in each bowl. Top with the cooked pork belly slices, soft-boiled eggs, green onions, nori seaweed, and any optional toppings such as corn kernels and bean sprouts.
- Serve the miso ramen hot and enjoy!
