Created by: Howcan Team

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 8 ounces of milk chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup of chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  • Peel the bananas and cut them in half crosswise. Insert a popsicle stick into each banana half and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze for at least 1 hour.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine 8 ounces of milk chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
  • Remove the frozen bananas from the freezer. Working quickly, dip each banana half into the melted chocolate, using a spoon to help coat the banana evenly. If desired, sprinkle with chopped nuts while the chocolate is still wet.
  • Place the chocolate covered bananas back on the parchment-lined baking sheet and return to the freezer for at least 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is set.
  • Once the chocolate is set, the bananas are ready to be enjoyed. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer.
