Mexican

The Mexican torta has a rich history dating back to the 19th century. This beloved sandwich originated in Puebla, Mexico, and has since become a staple of Mexican cuisine. The torta is typically made with a crusty white bread roll called a bolillo, filled with a variety of ingredients such as meats, cheeses, avocado, jalapeños, and refried beans. The sandwich is then grilled or pressed to perfection, creating a warm, crispy exterior and a deliciously gooey interior. Some renowned chefs and restaurants, like La Cemita Poblana in Puebla, have perfected the art of making tortas, offering a mouthwatering experience for food enthusiasts. For the best torta experience, seek out authentic Mexican ingredients and don't skimp on the avocado and jalapeños for that perfect balance of creamy and spicy flavors.
