Breakfast
American

Maple sausage has a rich history dating back to early American settlers who combined pork with maple syrup for a sweet and savory flavor. This breakfast staple gained popularity in New England, particularly in Vermont and New Hampshire, where maple syrup production is abundant. Chefs and restaurants across the region, such as The New England Maple Museum and The Sugar Shack, have perfected the art of crafting maple sausage. Today, the best versions of this dish can be found in local diners and farm-to-table restaurants, where the perfect balance of ground pork, maple syrup, and spices creates a deliciously indulgent breakfast treat.
