The Mango Salsa Salmon Burger has a rich history rooted in the fusion of Caribbean and Pacific Northwest flavors. This delectable dish gained popularity in the 1990s when renowned chefs in Seattle and Vancouver began experimenting with incorporating tropical fruits into traditional salmon recipes. The succulent salmon patty is infused with a blend of spices and topped with a vibrant mango salsa, creating a harmonious marriage of sweet and savory flavors. Today, the best versions of this dish can be found in coastal restaurants along the Pacific Northwest, where fresh salmon is abundant. The key to perfecting this dish lies in sourcing high-quality salmon and ripe mangoes to achieve a balance of flavors. For a unique twist, some chefs also incorporate a hint of jalapeño for a spicy kick in the salsa.
