Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Rinse the whole chicken and pat dry with paper towels.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the Lipton onion soup mix, olive oil, and water to create a paste.
  • Rub the paste all over the chicken, including under the skin and inside the cavity.
  • Place the chicken in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for 1 hour, then remove the foil and continue roasting for an additional 30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
  • Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.
