Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup dry white wine
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 8 ounces linguine pasta, cooked al dente
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt 1/4 cup of the butter over medium heat.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining 1/4 cup of butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the lemon juice, chicken broth, and white wine. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes to reduce the sauce slightly.
- Add the cooked shrimp back to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Stir in the chopped parsley and red pepper flakes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss to combine with the shrimp and sauce.
- Serve the lemon garlic shrimp scampi immediately, garnished with additional parsley and lemon wedges if desired.
