Ingredients
- 1 pound of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, juiced and zested
- 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
- Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter.
- Add the lemon juice, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes to the skillet, stirring to combine.
- Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
- Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat them in the lemon garlic butter sauce.
- Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
