Ingredients
- 1 pound of sea scallops
- 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, juiced and zested
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Pat the scallops dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat.
- Add the scallops to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the scallops from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the lemon juice and zest to the skillet, stirring to combine with the butter and garlic.
- Return the scallops to the skillet and toss to coat in the lemon garlic butter sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat through.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and transfer the scallops to a serving platter.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately.
