Korean

Korean BBQ has a rich history dating back to ancient times, with its roots in the Korean royal court cuisine. The vegetarian version of this beloved dish replaces the traditional meat with a variety of mushrooms, such as shiitake, oyster, and king oyster mushrooms, marinated in a savory and slightly sweet sauce. This meatless twist offers a delightful umami flavor and a satisfying texture. In modern times, vegetarian Korean BBQ has gained popularity in vegetarian and vegan restaurants worldwide. For the best experience, visit Seoul's trendy Hongdae district, where innovative chefs have perfected the art of vegetarian Korean BBQ. Don't miss out on the essential marinade, a blend of soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger, to achieve that authentic Korean BBQ flavor.
