Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 quart key lime ice cream
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup key lime juice
- 1 tablespoon lime zest
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 12 thin lime slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix together 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, and 6 tablespoons melted unsalted butter until well combined.
- Press the crumb mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish to form a crust. Place in the freezer for 15 minutes to set.
- In a large bowl, soften 1 quart of key lime ice cream. Stir in 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk, 1/4 cup key lime juice, and 1 tablespoon lime zest until well combined.
- Spread the ice cream mixture over the chilled crust in an even layer. Freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
- Before serving, cut the ice cream into 12 bars. Top each bar with a dollop of whipped cream and a thin lime slice for garnish, if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
