Keto Portobello Mushroom Burger

Ingredients
- 2 large portobello mushrooms
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 2 slices of cheddar cheese
- 4 slices of crispy bacon
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 lettuce leaves
- 2 slices of tomato
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Clean the portobello mushrooms and remove the stems.
- In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Brush the mixture onto both sides of the mushrooms.
- Grill the mushrooms for 4-5 minutes on each side, until tender. Remove from the grill and set aside.
- Form the ground beef into two patties and season with salt and pepper.
- Grill the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of grilling to melt the cheese.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading mayonnaise on the inside of each mushroom cap. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom mushroom cap, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, 2 slices of crispy bacon, a slice of tomato, and the top mushroom cap.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your keto portobello mushroom burgers!
