Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix together 1.5 lbs of ground beef, 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, 1 egg, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Form into 4 large patties.
  • Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Brush the patties with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and grill for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness. Add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking.
  • In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon paprika to make the spicy sriracha mayo.
  • Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes, until lightly charred.
  • Assemble the burgers by spreading the spicy sriracha mayo on the bottom half of each bun. Place a lettuce leaf on top of the mayo, followed by a tomato slice, a grilled patty with cheese, and a few slices of red onion. Top with the other half of the bun.
