Japanese

Yakitori, a popular Japanese dish, has a rich history dating back to the 17th century. Originally sold by street vendors, it has evolved into a staple of izakayas and restaurants across Japan. Skewered and grilled to perfection, yakitori is typically made with chicken, but can also include other meats and vegetables. The spicy mayo dipping sauce adds a modern twist to this traditional dish, offering a creamy and zesty kick. Chefs in the bustling streets of Tokyo and Osaka are renowned for their mastery of yakitori, while the best version of this dish can be found in the cozy eateries of Yakitori Alley in Tokyo. The key to perfecting yakitori lies in the grilling technique and the balance of flavors in the marinade, making it a must-try for any food enthusiast.
