  • Stir in 1/4 cup of honey and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil.
  • Add 1 1/2 cups of whole wheat flour, 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, and 1 teaspoon of salt. Mix until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
  • Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan, cover, and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Bake the bread for 25-30 minutes, or until it is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
