Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1/4 cup honey, 2 cloves minced garlic, 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, 1 teaspoon sesame oil, 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
  • Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over the chicken. Seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for best flavor.
  • Preheat the grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the excess marinade.
  • Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the chicken is no longer pink in the center.
  • Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  • Garnish the honey soy chicken with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
