Ingredients
- 4 bone-in pork chops
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup Dijon mustard, 1/4 cup honey, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 2 cloves minced garlic, 1 teaspoon paprika, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
- Place the pork chops in a shallow dish and pour half of the honey mustard mixture over them, turning to coat. Let marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- Preheat the grill or a grill pan to medium-high heat. Brush the grates with oil to prevent sticking.
- Grill the pork chops for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F, basting with the remaining honey mustard glaze during the last few minutes of cooking.
- Remove the pork chops from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
Honey Mustard Glazed Pork Chops have a rich history dating back to the 1980s when chefs in the United States began experimenting with combining sweet and tangy flavors with succulent pork chops. This dish quickly gained popularity for its perfect balance of flavors and juicy, tender meat. Today, it is a staple on menus in American restaurants, especially in the Midwest and Southern regions. The key to a perfect Honey Mustard Glazed Pork Chop lies in the quality of the pork, the right blend of honey and mustard for the glaze, and the precise cooking technique to ensure a caramelized, flavorful crust. For a unique twist, some chefs also incorporate herbs like thyme or rosemary into the glaze for added depth of flavor. One renowned restaurant known for its exceptional Honey Mustard Glazed Pork Chops is located in Kansas City, where the dish is a beloved favorite among locals and visitors alike. Whether grilled, baked, or pan-seared, this dish continues to delight diners with its irresistible combination of sweet and savory flavors.
