Ingredients
- 2 12-ounce ribeye steaks
- 2 tablespoons whole black peppercorns
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to high heat.
- Crush the peppercorns using a mortar and pestle or a spice grinder. Season the ribeye steaks with salt and then press the crushed peppercorns onto both sides of the steaks.
- Drizzle the steaks with olive oil and place them on the hot grill. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or to your desired level of doneness.
- While the steaks are grilling, prepare the peppercorn sauce. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the crushed peppercorns and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the beef broth and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly. Then, stir in the heavy cream and continue to simmer for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Once the steaks are done, remove them from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve the sliced steaks with the peppercorn sauce drizzled on top.
