Ingredients
- 4 elk steaks (6-8 ounces each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Preheat grill to high heat.
- In a small bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon of paprika, 1/2 teaspoon of dried thyme, and 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper to create a marinade.
- Place elk steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, turning to coat. Let marinate for 10 minutes at room temperature.
- Remove elk steaks from the marinade and discard the excess marinade.
- Place elk steaks on the preheated grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to your desired level of doneness.
- Remove elk steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Serve the grilled elk steaks with your favorite side dishes and enjoy!
