Ingredients
- 8 oz of linguine pasta
- 1 lb of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- 1/4 cup of white wine
- 1/4 cup of fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cook the linguine pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Stir in the white wine, butter, and lemon juice. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
- Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta with the shrimp scampi sauce.
- Sprinkle with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
